This piece is the result of a collaboration between the artist and two Italian manufacturing companies, the Superior SPA di Santa Croce sull’Arno (Florence) and the Renato Corti of Milan. Cecchini retrieved the leather, produced by Superior SPA and intended to the fashion and luxury world, as an identity material of an entire zone joined by the definition of the Tanning District (which includes several towns in the aera of Florence). Tavolo parallelo alla Terra, Terra parallela al Tavolo is composed by a sequence of raised levels, which together form the relief of this territory.
